The brain is the main human organ, which is responsible for the proper functioning of the body's complex systems. But quite often, due to various stresses, it becomes overloaded or overstressed. In such situations, it is necessary to maintain its performance, using vitamins for the brain. Today, medicine has stepped forward, and scientists have discovered 13 major vitamins that have a positive effect on the work of our crinkles.

There are essential vitamins for the brain:

  • Beta-carotene and vitamin A ;
  • B group vitamin (B1, B3, B5, B6, B12);
  • Vitamin C;
  • Vitamin E.

Let’s look at the most common vitamins for the brain.

1. beta-carotene and vitamin A

Beta-carotene and vitamin A are designed to neutralize free radicals, more specifically polyunsaturated fatty acids. In addition, the complex interaction of these substances demonstrates an antioxidant effect on oxygen in the body.

These substances are necessary to protect nerve endings and cell membranes.

The greatest amount of vitamin A is contained in fish (fish oil, fish liver). In turn, beta-carotene, is found in fruits and vegetables (carrots, pumpkins, beets, cabbage, etc.).

2. B vitamins for the brain

B1) Thiamine (B1) has an antioxidant effect on the cerebral cortex. Vitamin B1, positively affects nerve endings and also neutralizes the detrimental effects of alcohol on brain cells.

B3) If your brain is subjected to severe mental strain, vitamin B3 (its medical name is niacin) is essential to keep your brain functioning. Thanks to this component, you can improve your memory, develop intelligence, and protect yourself from stress. In addition, it increases the amount of oxygen that carries hemoglobin (red blood cells).

B5) Vitamin B5 is a neurotransmitter that positively affects the interaction between neural endings in the brain. It is also called pantothenic acid, which converts choline to acetylcholine. Because of which the protection against stress increases.

B6) This element serves to create dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine molecules. These substances are necessary for the proper functioning of the human psyche and for normalization of the thinking process. The medical term for this element is pyridoxine.

B12) A very important vitamin that can cause schizophrenia and dementia. Its medical name is cyanocobalamin. It is good for mental health and also improves the general condition of the body.

3. Vitamin C.

Decided to increase your IQ, and improve the performance of your gray matter? In that case, you can’t do without ascorbic acid (vitamin C). It plays an important role in the functioning of neurotransmitters, and nerve cells. The liveliness of the mind, the improvement of the thinking process, etc. These are all the things this vitamin serves to do.

 4. Vitamin E.

This element is used to protect brain cells, nerve endings, and membranes. In medicine, it is also called tocopherol. To improve brain function, vitamin E is better used in combination with vitamin C.

A lot of this vitamin is contained in nuts, seeds, eggs.

Vitamins for the brain – an indispensable thing, necessary for the proper functioning of the body systems. There is also a huge number of other vitamins. To choose the right set of vitamins, it is better to contact a professional natural doctor.

In addition to natural origin, vitamins for the brain, are also produced by pharmacological companies that calculate the daily requirement of the body in certain elements. They determine the optimal ratio of vitamins and minerals, so that in their complex interaction, we get the best result.

The most important thing to remember is that everything is good in moderation. And in case of an overdose, there can be side effects.
